The Power of People Behind the Drive
We have a vision in place. It’s “Better Drives, Better Lives” (BDBL), but what does it really mean? Well, it’s all about people for a very simple reason. The best drives don’t start with engines. They always start with people.
That said, BDBL can mean many things. For customers, it is freedom. For families, it is an opportunity. For partners, it is trust built over time. But for us as a team, there is one meaning that quietly powers everything else: Growth.
Better drives do not begin with cars. They begin with people who are growing.
I can vouch for this because I’ve witnessed this firsthand.
Growth That Changes Trajectories
A young professional from a small village in India came to the UAE on a visit visa, attending more than ten interviews before landing his first opportunity. Over the years, he worked across service advisory, estimations, and multi-brand workshops learning patiently, adapting constantly, building his capability step by step.
When he joined us, we were just a very small team finding our rhythm. He handled stock and operations in the early chaos of setup. There were no perfect systems, just problems that needed solving. He didn’t wait for a title. He chose ownership. He built processes. Strengthened quality checks. Supported teammates beyond his scope.
Over time, he led the Delivery Inspection team. Then the Quality team. Eventually, he led the entire refurbishment operation, managing increasing complexity with maturity and calm execution.
Alongside all this, he completed his MBA, studying at night after long workdays His growth wasn’t driven by designation. It was driven by responsibility embraced early. And as he grew, something else happened.
Our quality improved. Our processes stabilised. Customer experience became sharper.
The Courage to Start Again
Another journey reflects a different kind of growth. A young man who couldn’t complete college due to family responsibilities chose technical training instead. He moved to the UAE and began as a junior technician, working his way up through consistency and skill.
At one point, he stepped outside automotive into a stable but repetitive role. It offered security but not challenge. Stability was there but growth was missing.
When he joined us during our launch phase, he started in the Purchasing team. Soon after, he transitioned into workshop supervision, helping bring structure to refurbishment operations.
Then a new B2B vertical was launched: uncertain, undefined, full of risk. He volunteered. Yes, it meant stepping away from tools and into targets. From operational execution to business development. From familiarity to discomfort.
He started again, this time without tools in hand. He onboarded partners and generated meaningful early revenue, helping lay the foundation of that business line. That shift required courage. It required humility. But most importantly, it required belief in his own ability to evolve.
Behind it all was something simple and deeply human, the desire to build a better future for his family. When people grow like this, they don’t just change roles. They change trajectories.
Why This Matters
In a country like the UAE, which is built on ambition and opportunity, growth is never just professional. It is personal.
- When someone rises from coordination to operations leadership
- When someone moves from technician to business builder
- When someone studies at night while building systems during the day
It changes more than a designation. It builds confidence. It builds capability. It builds dignity. And when individuals grow, the organisation becomes stronger. When the organisation becomes stronger, customers feel it. Quality improves. Trust deepens. Experiences become smoother. Better drives.
Which is why we strongly believe that “Better Drives, Better Lives” is not only about the customer’s first car. It is also about the technician becoming a supervisor. And the supervisor becoming a business builder. And the individual becoming more than they once imagined. That is one way this belief truly drives us as a team.
Because when people move forward, the drive becomes better, and so does life.
